Developer and scope

MailMeUp is developed by Umberto Giacobbi, with help from contributors. Contact hello@umbertogiacobbi.biz for questions about these terms.

These terms cover MailMeUp and its local MCP integration. Google, Microsoft, GitHub, your assistant and any AI provider have their own terms. MailMeUp is an independent project; naming those services does not imply their endorsement or an approved OAuth verification.

Source code and availability

The public MailMeUp source is licensed under MIT. That license governs your rights to use, copy, modify and distribute the licensed code. These terms do not remove rights already granted by it. Third-party components retain their own licenses.

The Microsoft Store edition is coming soon and is not offered for purchase on this page. The planned commercial package is MSIX for Windows 11 on x64 and ARM64. I do not supply commercial Linux or macOS binaries; source availability does not mean every component runs on those platforms.

Use accounts and data you are allowed to access

Connect only accounts you own or are authorized to use. Follow your organization’s rules and the applicable provider policies. You are responsible for choosing which accounts and calendars to share and which assistant receives the results.

Use Google data only for the authorized mail and calendar features and consistently with Google’s Limited Use requirements. Do not use MailMeUp to sell Google data, target advertising, conduct surveillance or train general-purpose AI models. An assistant’s ability to retain or process data does not authorize a prohibited use.

Keep your device, operating-system account and assistant configuration secure. Do not publish credentials, tokens, private messages or local configuration in GitHub issues or public support discussions.

MailMeUp Privacy Policy

What the app can and cannot do

MailMeUp reads provider data. It does not send mail, modify or delete provider messages or appointments, or send invitations. Removing a connected account removes local access; it does not delete the mailbox.

Results depend on provider permissions, availability, rate limits and the scope of your search. Searches can be partial or fail, and cached results can be briefly out of date. Check important information against the original message or calendar.

The assistant may send results to a cloud service, produce inaccurate summaries or take actions using its own tools. MailMeUp does not control those separate tools. Review the assistant’s settings and outputs before relying on them.

Provider accounts, assistant subscriptions and AI usage may have separate charges. MailMeUp does not include those services or promise uninterrupted access to them.

Warranty and support

The MIT-licensed source is provided as is, with the warranty and liability terms in that license. Nothing here excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer rights for a future paid edition.

I do not promise a particular response time or service level unless separately agreed in writing. You can report issues on GitHub or contact me, without including private mailbox content.

Stopping use and changes

You can stop using MailMeUp at any time. Remove connected accounts, revoke access with the provider and follow the privacy policy’s cleanup steps if you want to remove local data and assistant copies.

I may update these terms as the app changes. Updates do not revoke existing MIT rights or retroactively remove rights attached to a purchase. Changes requiring notice or consent will be handled before they apply.
